BTX announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Family Distributors for fabrication and distribution of Coulisse premium decorative window products in specific North American markets. Family Distributors, located in Ft. Lauderdale, functions as master distributor and importer under an exclusive agreement with Coulisse BV, headquartered in The Netherlands.

In connection with these developments, the activities of BTX will be re-directed and
intensified, with focus on the upper end residential and hospitality markets. The duties of the former president, Will Knieper, who is leaving the company, will be taken over by the current CEO, Jon Vrielink.

“The highly successful Coulisse portfolio of window fashions fabrics, combined with the rich experience of BTX in providing motorization technology and automation for interior window coverings, produce a definite formula for success in a rapidly growing market for automated window covering systems in the US,” according to Jon Vrielink.

Coulisse is a leading international supplier of window coverings fashions. The company recently introduced its program of its exclusive high quality window coverings products into the North and South American markets. Coulisse premium decorative fabrics rank at the pinnacle of European and international fashion for interior window coverings.

BTX, based in Dallas, Texas, has specialized in the automation of window coverings systems since it was founded in the mid-eighties. The company is known for its innovative approaches. Its energy saving products include the recently introduced fully self contained, solar powered automated shading systems. Approximately fifteen thousand of those advanced systems have already been delivered to the US market.
